回答: why does a Financial advisor make so much? 由 xinku 于 2006-4-14, 15:59:35:
their income:
-- commission from life/health insurance;
-- commission from selling mutual funds;
-- commission from retirement plans: 401k, IRA, 529, etc.
Their suggestions(about stock, mutual funds) are actually free. They also do some some business planning(actual a major part of their customer).
It is actually a very good career. Most people can only last one year, since 75% of them can only make 20-30k for the first year. But the story is that the job becomes easier after 2-3 years as you have a bigger customer base and they tend to stay with you.
Everyone will retire for sure, and remember the baby booming.
I had a freind who works as a financial advisor for 6 years, his income is very stable and basically pressure-free.
