What you just said IS STILL GOOD VS EVIL, only people got "misled" from time to time. Maybe this is American version of "black and white", better but doesn't solve the problem. How can you be so sure you were not misled this time? After all history is told not witnessed.
Ordinary Joe always has a tendency to see a war as good guys versus bad guys, especially when he can not avoid being related to parties involved in the war, becasue doing so is convenient and practical for him to make present moral decision. There is certainly a risk that a lot of ordinary Americans will consider Chinese bad guys after seeing but not studying art pieces with comments like "heroic" etc in public domain. You can say this is normal as people can have different opnion but it would be very inconvenient for a lot of Chinese people who want to market a good guy image to Americans.
