I was not claustrophobic before. However, I got it last year when I flew to HK.
All windows were closed in the plane. I was so frustrating that I couldn't to find a comfortable posture to take a nap when I was tired at the last two hours of fly. I started walking up and down along aisles, standing on galley to stretch my arms and legs. Without seeing outside, all the sudden my breaths were getting short. I rushed to open a window, looking outside. It did not help me to calm down. I started panicking. I looked inside the cabin and It's so dim so small that I felt I was strangled in a tinny space. I realized I had a claustrophobic attack. I went into the toilet to slap my face with cold water. I felt better only after I sensed the airplane was descending.
I did not scream for help tho.
I am a bit afraid now of having a long trip. Any suggestion?
