Oak Hill police and Jackson County deputies responded to a call from a woman who said that her ex-husband had broken into her home. An Oak Hill police officer shot and killed Cremeans inside the residence.
Peter Gaines, an unarmed 37-year-old black man, was shocked with a stun gun and shot on March 12, 2016, in Houston, Tex. A Houston police officer approached Gaines after he vandalized a traffic sign. Gaines lunged at the officer.
Randall J. Selsor, a 45-year-old white man, was shot on March 7, 2016, in a house in Topeka, Kan. U.S. marshals assigned to a fugitive task force were attempting to arrest Selsor on warrants at the time of the shooting.
Brandon Stanley, an unarmed 30-year-old white man, was shot on March 4, 2016, in a gas station in East Berstadt, Ky. A Laurel County constable shot Stanley inside a convenience store when he tried to arrest him on a warrant.
John Alan Chamberlain, a 66-year-old man, was shot on March 4, 2016, in Sims, Ark. The man confronted Montgomery County deputies, who were responding to a call.
Gustavo Najera, an unarmed 22-year-old Hispanic man, was shot on Feb. 9, 2016, in a park in Anaheim, Calif. Anaheim police responded to reports that Najera was knocking on doors and wouldn't leave. Officers located him in a nearby park and shot Najera after a confrontation.
William A. Adams, a 33-year-old white man, was shot on Jan. 28, 2016, in an apartment in Omaha, Neb. Omaha police were responding to a disturbance involving a stolen vehicle. The man had barricaded himself inside an apartment.
Michael Clyde Lynch, a 37-year-old white man, was shot on Jan. 20, 2016, in Kerrville, Tex. Officers from multiple police agencies were attempting to arrest Lynch on a warrant. Lynch fled officers in a vehicle and then ran from them on foot. A Kerrville police officer shot and killed him.
