Well it is Jules Fuller, the ex-Channel (V) head, whom I have been threatening to marry for the last four years. We plan and then cancel. Then we plan again, and cancel again.
I want to marry, and I am sure I want to marry Jules. But I am ready to wait for the right time. We will marry when we think it is right for us to settle down.

Q2 How do you describe Sophiya Haque?

Actually, Sophiya defies definition. Sometimes, she seems to be mature, having seen the seamier side of life too early. Half British-Jewish, half Bangladeshi. I am an independent soul as I have been on her own since I was 13 - a time when most Indian kids are still trying to break the umbilical cord with their parents.

My parents divorced when I was young…I`d get into trouble. It is normal for kids abroad.

Frankly, I don`t know where I fit. I grew up in Britain. When I was 15, I travelled through Europe. I didn`t really have a family, so I am not rooted in any culture - either Indian or British. I consider myself a global person, who is comfortable in a modern milieu that doesn`t require too much of cultural rooting.
