Because WenKes do not have the necessory training to "feel" what kind of evidence can support their conclusions. Actually, WenKe problems are far more difficult than LiKe problems, although Wenkes may not realize that.
For example, the research about scientists&buddhism requires far more delicated experimental&statistical design than just 严格遵循了统计调查的原则. Actually I do not believe there is a 原则 that can guarantee the result will be correct, or even just making a little sense. So it sounds like a joke to state that my research 严格遵循了统计调查的原则. As if you don't say that all the calculation are done by correctly implementing arithmetic operations like plus minus ..., which is a must but has little to do with the conclusion.
Again there is only one science, there is no Wenke science and LiKe science. The problem Wenkes are facing are far more difficult than their LiKe counterpart. Simple methods like 访问法和文献法 are far from being sufficient, or even reliable.
