An injured parrot

I found this little lovely parrot on ground of the back of the Conservatory Garden, Central Park, NY, 10-9-08. The right wing had blood stain, not on the left. It could not fly and was an easy prey of wild cats, raccoons and hark. Apparently it was a pet but don't know if it was an escape or abandoned.I handed it to the park animal ranch.
