最近的Applied Clay Science上有一篇关于武汉大学三位学者文章因为剽窃被撤稿的通告。

三位作者是Shujing Zhu, Haobo Hou and Yongjie Xue，其中的Haobo Hou 应该就是武汉大学资源与环境科学学院副院长侯浩波。

值得注意的是，通告中指出该文章“超过75%”为逐字逐句抄袭，连几个图表都是剽窃的。

Reason: The authors have plagiarized part of a paper that had already appeared in J. Colloid Interface Sci., 307 (2007) 309–316, doi:10.1016/j.jcis.2006.10.054. More than 75% of the text of the original submission of the manuscript by Shujing Zhu et al. has been copied word-by-word from the paper of Hao Chen and Aiqin Wang without quotes and acknowledgements. Even part of the data in Table 3 and the total Figure 3a, b, c, d were copied.

One of the conditions of submission of a paper for publication is that authors declare explicitly that their work is original and has not appeared in a publication elsewhere. Re-use of any data should be appropriately cited. As such this article represents a severe abuse of the scientific publishing system. The scientific community takes a very strong view on this matter and we apologize to readers of the journal that this was not detected during the submission process. The Editorial Office has informed the authors about this plagiarism but has not received a reply.
